Tutorial: hat

ok so to be honest I tried to make a beret, but that didn't turn out as expected...but I still like my hat and will make it into a tutorial...

You Need:

-Stretchy fabric (Like the black on mine)

-1 yard of fabric that wil be used to make the rest of the hat

-scissors

-chalk

-pins

-studs ( mine were from my very old belt)

-needle-nose pliers 4 using studs

1) grab that stretchy material and wrap it around your head and pin...make sure your comfortable.

2) Sew the band together but make sure that that it still folds open...so that you can add studs with ease...

3) time to work with the studs...alighn them the way you want them and use the needle nose pliers ....sorry no pix of me doin' so..

4) once done cut out a long strip from the 1 yard of fabric...









and wrap it inside the fold of the stretch fabric... and pin...and sew..

(5) when your done , it can probably stand on it's own..

(6) put it on the rest of the fabric and grab a chalk draw a circle of the size of the hat and cut

(7)turn the hat inside out and alighn the circle with the edges and pin and sew

It should be like this all around...kinda like a blanket stitch... when your done sewing...turn it inside out and try out a new hat.
