I saw this in a fashion mag once and later at a store...when I took a futher look i realized that this is easy to make and decided to do so!
You'll need:
-Felt
-bendable wire (I got mine at Walmart); or buy ready-made chain
-nose wire pliers
-ribbon
-studs (mine, were from my very old belt), but you don't have to have studs, but put buttons, beads, sequins, or sew-on jewels. Anything would do...
-paper and pencil and scissors
(of course, thread & needle)
Step one: fold the paper and make this pattern & cut
Step 2: grab that felt and fold in half & pin the pattern onto it and cut
Step 3: now that you have two of the same shape, one will hold the stuff & the other side gets put aside; it's time to put th studs (or what
ever you want on the surface)
For anyone working on studs you need the pliers to push the little/sharp things to hold it into place ; like so
Step 4: Once done, grab the other half and pin (if you can) them together and sew it closed; NOTE! if you decide to have the ribbon attached first into the necklace, arrange it so before sewing...
Step 5: Get the bendable wire & cut it at a length (I measured mine buy finger-length)
Step 6: Push the wire through the sewn felt and then bend it back into the felt and then your done with that and can continue with the other side and thensome
Step 7: after stopping at ten, I grabbed my ribbon and put it through the hole and sew...after that adjust the length at you leisure and cut and sew the ends as well...repeat for the other side ribbon and your done!
